DENVER SYNCHRONICITY
WHAT IS SYNCHRONIZED SKATING?
Synchronized skating is the fastest growing discipline of figure skating over the past decade and athletes have the opportunity to compete at local, sectional, national, and international levels. Synchronized skating offers skaters the chance to train with a team and learn the value of teamwork and camaraderie. At competition, teams of 8 to 20 skaters perform challenging formations and they are judged on technique, unison, difficulty, and performance. Known as "synchro", this discipline is creative and requires advanced athleticism and skating skills.
